Politics]
The gentle Conway [General who opposed the Royal Marriage
Bill] falls unnoticed by his family, and unlamented by his
friends.
. . . In the Mackarony Fables (ascribed to Mr. Hall) he is
thus mentioned:
He whose balmy words run off,
No words run smoother or distincter,
So oily they would cure a cough,
As soon as Hill's Balsamic Tincture.
